“In Loving Memories of a Special Daughter” Heartfelt memories of a daughter, whose love was sweet and pure, To lose someone so precious is a pain that’s hard to endure You were the jewel in our hearts, you were loved in every way Now you’re gone, you’re truly missed each and every day You always brought the sunshine and you brightened up our world, Spreading happiness and kindness since you were a little girl. Daughter, life is not the same now you’re no longer here, but our love for you is still strong and will remain year after year -Love, Mom and Pop
MONI’S JOUNREY…..
Stephanie Monique Baldwin was born on June 18, 1979, to the union of Lisa and Steven Baldwin in Chicago, Illinois. She had the most beautiful eyes and a smile that would make your heart melt. Stephanie was a very intuitive child who spent lots of time with her maternal and paternal grandmothers. Stephanie or “Moni”, (as she was affectionately known by most friends and family), was a very loving child and loved to talk. Stephanie was a very good student who excelled in school early. She attended several schools in Chicago including a private and magnet school for advanced learning until the fifth grade. When she was ten, she relocated to Aurora, Colorado with her mom and younger brother, Silas. There she joined the Old Landmark Baptist Church, where she was baptized and became a member of the youth choir. Stephanie attended middle school and high school in Colorado where she graduated from Gateway High School in 1997. She attended college at Hayes University in Kansas, but returned to Colorado where she graduated from Community College of Aurora with an Associate’s degree in Computer Science. In 2003, she went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Computers from Governor’s State University in Illinois. Stephanie was a people person. She enjoyed life and was a world traveler. Her mission was to travel around the world. Her travels included: Europe, Egypt, Australia, Switzerland, Canada, Panama, Costa Rica, Cuba, Jamaica, Guatemala, and Morocco, just to name a few. Stephanie was adventurous and believed in trying new things—whether exploring Guatemala on a four-wheeler or riding camels in Marrakech, Morocco. Stephanie was family oriented; she loved family gatherings and spending time with family and friends. Although she had a very large, blended family, she was always willing to welcome more into her family circle. She never missed a birthday, baby shower, wedding, or family reunion. If you were part of her circle of family and friends, she was there. She loved trying to surprise her mom the most every birthday. It made her happy just to make others happy. Stephanie wore many hats in her short life span: teacher, instructor, computer analyst, entrepreneur, and the founder and owner of Love Matters. She had a kind heart and was always giving and donating her time to causes that she believed in. She could be stubborn and headstrong. If she believed in something or someone, she would fight until the end. As a cancer survivor of 13 years, she was an advocate for Cure for Cancer and participated in “Walks For A Cure” for 10 years. Stephanie was always willing to help anyone she could and would give a stranger her last. She loved helping people. She was a sweet, God-fearing woman who believed in God and his blessings. She believed that your blessings come from being a blessing to others. She always had advice, words of encouragement and wisdom to share with any and everyone who would listen.
Stephanie “Moni” travels came to an end on this earth on November 30, 2021. God saw that she was tired and called his child home to rest. She was preceded in her journey by her father, Steven J. Baldwin, grandparents, Minnie and Theopolis Armstrong, grandmother, Lamellis Baldwin, and brother, T.J. Williams. Stephanie leaves behind her parents, Lisa and Anthony Williams (Pop), her bonus dad, Silas (Sonya), Odessa, bonus grandparents Silas and Martha Junious, godparents, Danny and Carolyn Miller, godmothers, Vonzella and Charlotte (2-T), godfathers, Gerald and Brad, four brothers: Silas III, Corey, Benjamin and Bobby, five sisters: Mia, Ashley, Brittany, Breanna and Tamaryllis, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. She shared a special bond with her aunts Liz, Diane, Ruby, and Judy, and her cousins, Daphne, Amanda, Latonya, Kenya, DeValory, Sadonia, and Dana, who all have been her uplifting spiritual warriors on her journey. To cousins, Andre, Shemson, and Cynthia, who sat with her during treatments in the hospital, Eura Lee, who provided comfort, Casper, Daisy and Ron, Sonya, and Tanika who kept Jaxsen, her goddaughters, Lailah, Jalissa, Lil sister Amber, her travel buddy and friend, Nahreisha, friends: Kanisha, Erin, Dani L. Auntie Pammy, Mama Townsend and family, Ann, who watched her grow into a beautiful woman on this journey, all her Colorado friends and family—Terry & Perry Johnson, Mr. & Mrs. Harris, the Trammell family, Elizabeth Ford & family who embrace her as their own, thank you! To Quinton (Alyssa), Garfield, JJ, Aaron B, Gloria, Vickie, Bettie, Darnesha, even Carolyn and Sharon, for being great big cousins and looking out when she needed you to, thank you! To her little/big brother, Silas, she helped raise and who stayed by her side until the very end, thank you! To a host of other relatives and friends (much too many to name), who sent flowers, cards, fruit baskets, food to the hospital, gifts, blankets, text messages, phone calls, and the many words of encouragement and prayers, thank you!
To the nurses, doctors, and staff at Rush Hospital, who sat by her bed and listened to her stories about her family and friends, thank you!
OUR PURPLE ANGEL, “MONI”, CAN REST NOW. FOR THOUGH WE SHALL LOVE AND MISS
HER, WE KNOW GOD LOVED HER BEST AND HE HAS CALLED HER HOME TO THE END OF THIS JOURNEY.

Your God sister is going to miss you sneaking her snacks at Uncle Danny and Aunt Carolyn’s house. Thank you for not treating her differently because she has Autism and is non-verbal. Your hugs will truely be missed. Love your God Sister Ashlie.

Auntie Stephanie,
You were always there for me in the roughest of times, and you listened to me with no judgement or criticism.
We went on walks together and talked for hours at a time, and you took me to so many different places just to hang out. I have countless memories of you calling me and texting me, asking me how my day was going. You let me drive your car and took me to see movies with you and Leelee. We went to your jewelry convention together and spent days talking about my plans in school and what I wanted to be when I got older.
Your encouragement got me through my 1st semester of uni and through countless hard times. You’ve been a guiding light through my growing as a person.
I miss you so much. You were a light and an inspiration, and I will forever be grateful to you for everything you’ve done for me.
I love you, Auntie.
Your niece,

Stephanie you know I have never been big on words, of expressing my feelings but you knew I was always there to show my love. I will miss our daily talks for hours on end, and hearing your voice saying “Hey Dad how you doing?” You were the communicator for the siblings keeping everybody in line and informing your brothers and sisters about each other. We are going to miss you! Dad Loves You! Silas Junious Jr.
Stephanie….Bonus Mom misses you, you will always hold a special place in my heart, I’m going to miss our special bond we shared, our talks, visits, and shopping sprees. One life lesson you left us to hold on to when you started your business, “Love Matters” and you deposited your love into your family and friends whenever you were around. So we must tell our love ones we love them more often than not, because we never know when we may not have another opportunity to do so. So I’m so grateful I was blessed to get to know you and love on you as my Bonus Daughter!
You will be missed but never forgotten..BD…love BM Sonya
