Part 2
Sarah Frances Trammell was born to the late Sara Jane Stephens on July 30, 1931 in Riverside, Alabama. She was the last living sibling of twelve. She relocated to

Chicago with her mother at an early age. Sarah attended school in the city. Sarah retired from the City of Chicago, Department of Aging in 1995, where she worked for 10 years helping seniors at the Golden Dinner.
Earlier in life she met and married her late husband Leon Bailey. To this union six beautiful children were born; two sons Kenneth Bailey (Joanne) and Reginald Bailey, four daughters Jeannette Bailey, Jacquelyn Dawson, Kimberly Branch (Robert) and Phyllis Bailey, who proceeded her in death.
Sarah received Christ at an early age and she was a praying woman visiting Liberty Baptist Church over the years. She later joined Maranatha Bible Church Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Osman Webb where she was a faithful member until her passing.
The love Sarah had for her family was beyond measure. She made sure all felt loved whenever you called or came by the house. You could not leave her home without promising to “call when you make it home.” Sarah loved to cook and her specialties that will be missed by her family are her grits, her sweet potatoes and her ever famous “Chicken Tetrazzini”.
Sarah enjoyed being surrounded by her grandchildren who lovingly called her Granny. When the great-grandchildren came along they affectionately called her Big-Granny.
She leaves to cherish her memories her five children listed above, her special children Audrey Lifschultz and Fred Matthews, twelve grand-children: Nakesha Dawson, Andre’ Bailey (Ellice), Devin Nicholas(Ron), Mario Dawson Jr., Nikel Bailey (Balachew), Janel Bailey, Saundra Hayes (Kevin), Samantha Bailey, Malcolm Bailey, Robert Branch, Reginald Bailey Jr., and Zavier Branch; twenty great-grandchildren: De’Andre, Tayvion, Jackie, Jeremiah, Andre’ Jr., Martezz, Samaya, Ashton, Zoe, Destiny, Mario III, Jamari, Jacobie, Laudyn, Nile, Sakinah, Harith, Dhu, Marie and Jamiyah; Three great-great grandchildren: Jeremiah Jr., Martezz Jr., Ma’layah, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
