Priscilla Kay Whitehead's Memorial Program

Priscilla, passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 5:43 am in Chicago, IL.  Priscilla leaves behind to cherish her memories: two daughters Rochelle Clark (Ezell), Kadeja Whitehead and son Pierre Whitehead (Kisha).

 Priscilla was born on November 25, 1951 in Chicago, IL to Prentiss J. Jones of Paris, Texas (Grandson of T.M. Haynes-co-founder of Boley, Oklahoma) and Catherine Jones Wheatley of Learned, Mississippi both who predeceased her.   Priscilla was married to Norman L. Whitehead.   Priscilla accepted Christ at an early age. She had a kind heart, quick wit and was the life of the party.   

Priscilla loved dancing, singing (karaoke) and signifying. She grew up in a large loving family where she horned in on her signifying and roasting skills.  Priscilla attended Herzl High School, but later received her GED from Loop City Colleges.  She didn’t stop there; Priscilla continued her education in business at Taylor Business Institute.   She was a dedicated staff member at Sears and Roebuck, Community Care Services, and Alex Cab service over some years.    

Priscilla is survived by her three children, as well as her sisters, Juliet M. Jones, Deborah Jones, Joyce C. Jones (Kenneth), Sheila R. Gordon (Otis), and Ellen M. Brooks (Ralph), all of Chicago; her brothers Rueben J. Jones and Alexander G. Jones of Nebraska;

Priscilla was a Grandmother of nine, Cameka Scarelli-House (Jerry), Keishia David (deceased), Nathan David Jr., Jonah David, Shanita Mullen, Nakiah Whitehead, Pierre Whitehead Jr., Malik Whitehead, and Joseph Jones III. Eleven great grandchildren, nieces and nephew and a host of cousins, and friends.

Priscilla is preceded in death by her sisters – Geraldine Thomas, Marlene Jones, Marie Blanks, and Terie Jones; Brothers - Jerome Jones, Michael L. Jones, Larry L. Jones, Earl Stewart, John L, Prentiss Jr. And Charles W. Stewart.
