Phil ‘Misty Blue’ Hill was born May 28, 1952 in Jonestown, MS to the late Roosevelt Sr. and Kerutha Hill. He was the sixth of 14 children; 10 boys and 4 girls. He attended Wichita Heights High School, where he later graduated in 1970. 

He became a member of Christ Evangelistic Temple in 2015. He had a passion for fixing cars, having fun with family, and telling jokes. He went to be at peace with the Lord on March 6, 2021 in Montgomery, IL at home. 

He was proceeded in death by one of his favorite women, Rose Ella Ray (Madea), his siblings; Willie, Sylvester, Jessie Mae, Sarah Louise, Donald, Eli, Ray, and a loving nephew, Mark Hill.

He leaves to cherish his life and great memories: his children; Phillip (Leslie) Hill of Montgomery, IL, Latonja Hill, Rashunee Hill, Jacquetta (Akiba) Foster of Aurora, IL, Darnell (Sheena) Hill of Milwaukee, WI, Shaneaka Dortch of Olive Branch, MS, and Ronell Dortch of Aurora, IL. His grandchildren; Cesar, Marshawn, Jaden, Onani, Anylah, Avonté, and Ajaia. His siblings; Roosevelt (Louise), Serlestine, Charles, Tommie (Randa), Ricky, and Christine. He also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
