A College Graduate, An Early Development Director, An Educator, A Faithful Friend and more… The Remarkable Woman Passed Away On Thursday January 14, 2021.
JOB 1:8 “HE IS BLAMELESS AND UPRIGHT, FEARS GOD AND SHUNS EVIL.”
On November 20, 1954 in Chicago,IL Naomi Jean Hardnick was born to Bernice and Leon Davis who both preceded her in death. Naomi accepted Christ at an Early age. She attended New Salem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Joanne Simeon, and Mount Vernon Baptist Church (JLM) under the leadership of Pastor Johnny L. Miller. Naomi went to college and received her Undergraduate (AAS) degree in Business from Malcolm X College. She then went on to further her education at NorthEastern Illinois University, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development. She also attended Mount Vernon Christian school where she also graduated. Naomi was employed at Marcy Newberry as a Preschool Teacher and then went on to work for Lutheran Family Mission as an Early Childhood Development Director where she retired in 1999. Naomi was joined in marriage by Elroy Hardnick on February 8, 1993. Naomi was a God-fearing woman who had a passion for education and was very family-oriented. She loved music and She enjoyed speaking life into others and was faithfully involved in the Mount Vernon Baptist Community. She had an enthusiasm for absorbing and spreading the word of God into her community and she was a truly remarkable woman and will be remembered by many.
Naomi leaves to cherish her husband Elroy Hardnick, her three children; Natika Wade (David) ,Leonardo Wade, Dwayne Carter, Her six grandchildren; Jacquan Collier, Shamaire Almond, Semaj Wade, Arveonna Wade, Leonardo Wade II, Leonardo Wade III (Deceased) One Great-Grandchild; Legend Randall, A niece and nephew that she raised; Tamico and Rico Pettis, Five Sisters; Myra, Druesilla Hassell, Demetrius Davis, Diane Jones, Barbara Davis, Marvette Russell, Sharon Dennis (Eugene) and Three brothers Ricardo Davis, Rodney James (Jennifer), Inkosi Russell, Two aunties Essie Clear, Bea Davis and one uncle Hooker Davis and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
