Kenyatta Julius (Sherrod) Grier aka King Khii was born October 2nd, 1991, in Chicago, Illinois to the proud parents of Tomica Hill (Mother) and Kenyatta Grier (Father). Julius was the second oldest son of five siblings shared with his Mother. Julius was also the third oldest sibling of five siblings shared with his Father. His father, Kenyatta Grier, preceded him in death. Â Julius was called home to be with the Most High on January 12, 2021 at 1:15am.
Julius was raised by his loving mother Tomica Hill with the assistance Aunt Debra and Uncle Ben Tillman during his childhood on the southside of Chicago in the Brained Park Community. Julius was educated in the Chicago Public Schools where he graduated from Fort Dearborn Elementary and attended Corliss High School. While attending Corliss he started to pursue footworking with a host of friends while making a name for his self in the footworking dancing community. He was born Moorish American and was raised in the church of God and he loved both. Later growing into a young man, he began learning the teachings of his Moorish American religion.
While continuing his life as happy feet footworking, he decided to pursue a music career much like his Father Ken and his oldest brother Julian aka Vega. While meeting a host of friends who were trying to help him pursue his love for rapping career to become a worldwide super star, he developed his alter ego rapper name âKing Khiiâ. He recorded countless of footworking videos and music on all social media platforms.
Julius was blessed with two children from two previous relationships, his oldest daughter Aria and his son Isaiah.Â
Julius later found love again and shared a loving relationship with Jamie Whitmore who will be bringing in a new king named Julius Khii Messiah Grier.
Julius had an amazing smile that would light up the room and an enlightening personality that attracted everyone to him. He was so charismatic and had a sense of humor that would have everyone laughing regardless of any situation. Julius was a protector over all the women in his family, especially over his mother and sisters. Julius enjoyed footworking, rapping, playing the video games, and getting money. He loved his nieces, nephews, and his closet love oneâs babies. He was also the head lieutenant to his motherâs non-profit organization âY U Madâ. Julius was a man who enjoyed life such as traveling to perform, family gatherings and parties as well as spending time with friends. His kind caring spirit would give his last and the very shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. Julius was the kind of man who would go without so that others would not be without. The untimely demise of Julius was struck with unforeseen death.
Kenyatta Julius (Sherrod) Grier departed this life on January 12, 2021, and leaves to cherish in his memory, his mother Tomica Hill. His children, daughter Aria, son Isaiah and his unborn son Julius Khii Messiah Grier. Procedded in death Grandma Sharon Hill. Siblings on the Mother side, Julian Grier, Diamond Dunn, Isis Fluker, and Winter Skye Christmas. Grandmother Patricia Cobb, Siblings on the Father side, Alexis Grier, Aaliyah Grier, and Kendell Grier. His nephews/nieces Amir and Bella, Frederick and Kompani. His favorite cousins Lanai Robinson, Jeremy Bennett, Willie, Briana, and Alex. His aunts, Debra Hill, Ebony Mason, Evett Bennett, Kyala Grier and Kim Smith. His uncles, Willie Ingram, Maurice Hill, Lamont Hill, and Markie Winters. He leaves a big host of cousins, extended family, cherished friends, play brothers and many acquaintances.
