Kalomo M. Rankin Sr. (unexpected angel) was born on March 30, 1998 to Tasha Carroll and Anton RankinSr. He was Tasha's only child.

He accepted Christ at an early age and would often invite his cousins and friends to attend church with him.

Kalomo graduated from Skinner Classical Elementary School. He attended highschool in Tennessee and Chicago and graduated from Chicago Vocational Career Academy (CVCA) in 2016. He loved and played football from the 7th through 12th grade. He was extremely intelligent. He hated to do homework. Some of his teachers were so outdone because he rarely did homework or studied, but would ace his exams.

He was a fun loving young man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He made friends easily. He was generous, outgoing, caring and helpful. He became a proud father when his son Kalomo jr. was born to him and Corriona Jackson on July 1, 2019. He was a loving son, father, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He had no local siblings, so he built special relationships with his cousins. They were all more like brothers.

Kalomo departed this life Thursday January 28, 2021.

He leaves to cherish his loving mother, Tasha Carroll; father, Anton Rankin (La Tresa) of Los Angeles Ca.; son, Kalomo Jr.; Grandparents, L.C. Carroll (deceased) and Servilla Carroll of Chicago, Antoinette Rankin (deceased) and Clarence Rankin of Baltimore Md; siblings, Milek Rankin of Baltimore Md., Janette Hill Fontana, Antoinette Rankin, Anton Rankin and Solomon Rankin all of Los Angeles Ca.; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
