Icyphine Baldwin, lovingly known as Lady, was born December 1, 1938 in Anguilla, Mississippi to Dollrether Ferguson and Robert Baldwin. Both preceded her in death. She was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age.

Lady attended school in Anguilla until she moved to Chicago at age 12, where she continued her education at St. Malachi Catholic School.

Lady had a strong belief in family and the love of family. She gave birth to seven children, Diane, Ronnie, Linda, Lester, Carol, Patricia and Willie. She went on to help raise three grandchildren, Dujawn, Preston and Tyjuan. She also showed an abundance of love for all of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She devoted her life to working and raising her children and grandchildren and would go to the ends of the Earth for them. She gained many lifelong friends through out her life and had an abundance of life experiences.

Lady was definitely loved by all whom came into contact with her. She was and will continue to be a pillar to her family and treasured by those whom she lovingly adopted. She was a wonderful cook. She definitely knew her way around the kitchen and those meals will be missed by people far and wide. Lady loved relaxing, ordering products from the TV, watching westerns, Perry mason and gameshows

Lady tried a couple of different avenues when it came to employment including nursing and retail but she planted her feet at the United States Postal Service. She worked at the USPS for over 30 years and retired from there in 2000. She enjoyed working there and created wonderful friendships with great coworkers.

Lady was called home to serve as an angel in heaven on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. She was preceded in death by her Mother; Dollrether Ferguson, Father; Robert Baldwin, Daughters; Diane Baldwin and Carol Baldwin, Son; Ronnie Baldwin, Grandson; Tyjuan Anderson,  Granddaughter; Kemone’ Daniels.

Lady leaves to cherish her wonderful and loving memories; Two Loving sons; Lester Baldwin and Willie Baldwin, Two Loving Daughters; Linga Gregory and Patricia Baldwin, Twenty Cherished Grandchildren, Nineteen Cherished Great Grandchildren, Two Great-great grandchildren, A loving Brother; Ricky Ferguson, Two Loving Sisters; Loria Ferguson and Claudia. Though we surely were not ready to see you go or say goodbye, we will rejoice knowing that she is home with the Lord…….So we will simply say, “See you later!”
