Herman attended Barnes Elementary School in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He graduated from Coleman High School in 1962. Herman joined St. Luke A.M.E Church at an early age.
Herman moved to Chicago in 1966, following the footsteps of many of his siblings and other family members. He worked in Industrial factories throughout his life, including Barr Chemicals. Herman retired from Morton Grove Pharmaceuticals in 2019.
Herman was a passionate, caring family man, who always extended himself to anyone in need.
