Dorothy Jean Grayer was born June 10, 1941 to the parents of  Curtis and Mary Lee Moore in Houston, Ms. She later attended Waxsaw school in Waxsaw Ms.

She later moved to Chicago IL 1958

Where she met and married James Grayer and to this union 8 children was born 

“Dot” accepted christ at an early age. She attended St.John M.B church in Waxsaw Ms.

She later moved and joined Helping  Hand Church where she served on the Friendship Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Tommy Woolridge  until her death.

“Dot” was loved by many for her humor, wisdom and cooking her doors was always open she was our angel on earth.

James, Ronald, Deeshane Grayer, Gregory Moore and siblings Charles, Leon, lorean, Lorine, Annette and Vergia  all proceeded her in death.

\“Dot” departed this life March 1, 2021 leaving to cherish her memory  4 sons: Percy, Arnell Moore, Andre, Pookie Grayer, 2 daughter’s: Lola and Jernell Grayer. 2 stepsons: James, Patrick Grayer. 3 brothers: Curt Moore, James, & Herbert Davis. 5 sisters: Mayrine Bovan, Addie Dabbs of Chicago Ethel Devine Cherry Moore Shelby Ms. Jewerl Moore Peoria IL. 1 aunt: Bonnie Dozier Louisville Ky. 58 Grandchildren.  A host of great grand children,  nieces, nephews & 1 special niece Linda Williams, 1 nephew Eugene MooMoo Davis.
