Beatrice Morris affectionately known as “BeBe “or “Bea” was born on March 5, 1954 to the late Murry Lee Billings and Charles E. Wright.  Beatrice was the third of seven children.

BeBe confessed her life to Christ at an early age and continued her relationship with the Lord through out her life.

Bea attended and graduated from Corkery Elementary School and Farragut High School and continued her studies at Malcolm X College.

On June 14, 1974 she united in Holy Matrimony with soulmate of 51 years James Morris who preceded her in death.  To this union three children was born James Jr., Dinah and Isaiah.  She was a loving mother and devoted wife.

Beatrice worked for Turner Brothers for many years and later moved on to the United States Postal Service where she retired. Over the years she also developed a love for sewing, making her children clothes growing up and gifting family members with dresses made by her for special occasions.  BeBe also loved arts and crafts, and especially game night with family and friends. Everyone who visited Bea know you can find her in the kitchen listening to her music and doing a puzzle with a affectionate smile that can brighten up a room, always ready to feed and entertain her family and friends. Beatrice had a heart of gold and had a loving impact on everyone she touched.  On December 15, 2020 her Heavenly Father whispered in her ear “your job here is done my child” and delivered her to the Heavens above.

Beatrice leaves to cherish her loving memory: Three Children, James Jr, Dinah and Isaiah, Two sisters, Arnetta Mayfield and Lonye Billings of Springfield IL., One Aunt, Deloris (Willie-deceased) Temple of Markham IL., One uncle, Billy (Minnie) Studaway of Country Club Hills. In addition she leaves eight grandchildren, Dominique, Isaiah, Najee, Iyana, Nikelia, Lonye, Arnaiz, Malik, and Jamaya who preceeded her in death, six great-grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime friends.

Beatrice was also preceded in death by her four brothers, Jerry Smith, Frank (Maquel) Billings, James (Bo-Bo) Billings, and Daniel (Danny) Billings. May they souls rest in peace…
